Portfolio
Since 1986, Winsoft has successfully developed a large number of software products and systems. Our activities in two decades can be summarized in four broad categories.
Financial Systems
In 1996, Winsoft initiated the design of the Winfund Back-Office system. Winfund as a spin-off company, later became one of the leading software vendors in Mutual Fund back-office processing in Canada. During the rapid growth of Winfund, Winsoft developed the Front-Office system for Winfund, which also became widely used by financial professionals in Canada.
Realizing the power of the Internet, Winsoft has realigned its development methodologies to focus on software development and deployment using the Internet. One such development is the WealthServ system which was developed for WealthServ Inc. Designed to be a data portal for the Insurance, Banking and Equity products in Canada, WealthServ is a unique system poised to become an industry leader.
Realizing a huge demand in an effective browser based Broker-Dealer system in the United States, Winsoft was involved in developing a US based Broker-Dealer software system since the third quarter of 2000. Based on the gained experience, Winsoft mainly focused its efforts in developing a UNIX based Broker-Dealer software system for the US market since 2001. The final product, WealthServ Investments is now ready to take the leadership role in the US and South American markets.
Winsoft is routinely involved in large scale software development projects for Banks and large financial institutions. In 2001 and 2002, Winsoft was involved in the development of the Account Aggregation project for CIBC Direct to Consumer Internet channel (DTC) as well as the Mortgage Application Project (A3) designed for CIBC-CMI. In addition to these projects, Winsoft was involved in a number of other consulting projects for the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce.
Engineering Applications
In the Engineering field, Winsoft has worked with the Portland Cement Association for the development of a series of engineering analysis and design programs. The latest project which was completed for PCA includes an innovative implementation of finite element techniques to analyze and design reinforced concrete buildings. For the Canadian Prestressed Concrete Institute (CPCI), Winsoft has developed specialized programs to help Canadian, American and Australian engineers to design prestressed concrete beams using current engineering codes.
Other engineering projects include a steel design program for the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) where Winsoft has developed the Canadian steel design code implementation of the Intergraph MICAS PLUS program and WOODS-3, written for the Canadian Wood Council, as an effective wood element design program for engineers.
In the Scientific platform, Winsoft has worked with Energy Mines and Resources Canada for the development of a mining stress analysis program using boundary element methodology to determine the stress and soil pressure patterns around mine shafts in three-dimensional mine models.
Graphics Applications
In the Graphics development area, Winsoft developed three dimensional graphics input/output data processors for engineering and scientific programs utilizing Winsoft's proprietary 3-D imaging toolkit and graphics library (WIGIT). Winsoft's innovative 3-D imaging system can be custom designed and modified to suit any application field. For less intensive CAE applications, Winsoft has developed effective two dimensional CAD drawing systems which help designers to create the problem data and images quickly and efficiently. For more demanding applications Winsoft has developed Automatic Mesh and Data Generators which create complete data files and three dimensional images with ease.
Medical Systems
In the Medical software applications field, Winsoft has developed specialized software solutions for the dental market. The Power Chart and Power Practice systems designed for Exan Software, a leader in advanced software solution provider for medical and dental offices, quickly became the best in its class. Winsoft has implemented real-time 3-D imaging functionality into all Exan products by using Winsoft's proprietary graphics technology. Through the use of this technology, Exan products achieved graphics speeds equaling high-end workstations with dedicated graphics hardware.
Winsoft design team has substantial expertise in development projects aimed at medical and professional office management with customized transaction and account administration capabilities. This expertise lead to the selection of Winsoft by Winvet Systems for the development of a sophisticated practice management software for animal hospitals.
