Pioneer in virtual reality and imaging frameworks
AVR - Virtual Reality (1987-1994)
AVR framework was designed as a collection of graphics primitives and libraries developed by Winsoft as an API for Microsoft Windows development environment. AVR represented the first ever implementation of 3-D virtual reality computer images on personal computer screens using 3-D glasses in the Microsoft Windows platform.
Image Render (1987-1994)
Software system designed as a collection of graphics primitives and libraries developed by Winsoft as an API for Windows system. Boasted first ever real time complex image rendering with true 3-D capabilities in the Windows platform. Graphics functionality included, surface smoothing, light source rendering, translucency, full real time 3-D motion and animation.
3D Vision (1989-1996)
3D Vision is a three dimensional solid image modeller and display system with layered drawing support, auto object generation, 3-D image walk-through and staged animations. All rendering and image processing was performed very fast using the Intel 286 based equipment thanks to a very small size (300K) of the graphics engine developed by Winsoft.
Microsoft 3.0 Launch (June 1990)
The innovative use of graphics technology for Windows caught the attention of Microsoft. Subsequently we were invited to join Bill Gates along with other selected 8 industry leaders in jointly introducing the new Windows 3.0 platform to the world in June 1990.  Among the other Canadian companies which were selected are Corel and Delrina which later became household names in the information technology sector. The involvement of these select companies was included in the launch proceedings and marketing materials which were provided to the industry by Microsoft in June 1990.
